A 4-hour course designed to teach kids the basic principles for on-camera acting & auditioning technique.

The primary objective is to enhance creativity and inspire kids to have fun, get comfortable, and feel confident working in front of the camera. The goal is to work each child through a series of improvisation and on-camera exercises to help prepare for some of the basic audition settings, be it for a commercial, episodic television spot or a feature film. Each student should leave the class feeling “camera comfortable” as well as having gained confidence in their ability to audition.

Students will:
  • Play theater games and exercises to build creativity and get physically comfortable with their movement.
  • Develop their own characters.
  • Get “camera comfortable” for auditions and interviews.
  • Perfect their “slates” to camera.
  • Breakdown and work on sides for commercial, TV and film auditions.
  • Learn technical auditioning tricks and acting “choices”.
  • Work on confidence and interview skills.
  • Have fun mock auditions from their favorite shows and television commercials.
