Voiceover Workshop with Jay Ginsberg...
Learn how to "self direct" by orchestrating scripts (copy marking techniques), clean up and sharpen articulation with vocal exercises, discuss and demonstrate the elements of voiceover styles, correct breathing technique, get an overview of the industry, and lots of on-mic time with heavy direction. Single and multiple voice scripts, straight and character, will be provided. Much FUN.
Jay Ginsberg has been directing voiceover workshops since 1982 at universities, colleges, broadcasting schools, and privately at his own studio. Currently, he directs on-going teleseminars "How to Self Direct" and "Finding the Colors of your Voice" for The Great Voice Company out of New York City. Recently, he co-directed a three-day, sold-out, voiceover "bootcamp" in West Palm Beach, Florida. He also serves as Creative Director for KZST/KJZY Radio in Santa Rosa and maintains his private studio in Glen Ellen. In 2009 Jay will celebrate 40 years in the broadcasting and voiceover industry, primarily in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Blair Hardman owner, producer at Zone Music in Cotati will also be joining the class. Blair has a wall of awards for his voicework on radio and TV ads videos and for the Web. Blair is the writer and voice of many radio and TV ads, is a nationally published crossword puzzle author, has been a morning DJ, toured Germany as a Country Cowboy, and once spent a long year in the Ice Capades orchestra.
